Serbia agreed to transfer or has already transferred weapons to Ukraine — Reuters

Serbia is the only European country that has refused to impose sanctions on Russia for its invasion of Ukraine. However, it has agreed to supply weapons to Kyiv or has already sent them.

That’s according to Reuters, which cites leaked secret Pentagon documents, Ukrinform reports.

Entitled “Europe|Response to Ongoing Russia-Ukraine Conflict,” the document in chart form lists the “assessed positions” of 38 European governments in response to Ukraine’s requests for military assistance.

The chart showed that Serbia declined to provide training to Ukrainian forces, but had committed to sending lethal aid or had supplied it already.

It also said Serbia had the political will and military ability to provide weapons to Ukraine in the future.

The office of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and the Ukrainian embassy in Belgrade did not respond to a request for comment.

Last week, The New York Times reported that the Pentagon was investigating the leak of classified documents on social media concerning U.S. and NATO plans for a planned counteroffensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Meanwhile, the Bellingcat investigative team conducted its own investigation to identify the primary sources of the leaked Pentagon documents.

Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine, dismissed the publication of the alleged documents on Ukraine’s counteroffensive as “a Russian bluff, dust in the eyes.”

The U.S. Department of Justice has announced that it is investigating the leak of U.S. intelligence documents that were published on social media in recent weeks.
