In the town of Brovary, Kyiv region, a helicopter fell near a kindergarten and a residential building. Casualties have been reported.
Oleksiy Kuleba, the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“Children and workers of the institution were in the kindergarten at the moment of the tragedy. Everyone has been evacuated. There are victims,” he wrote.
The deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, has reported about the accident earlier.
“An aircraft has just crashed into a social infrastructure facility. We are finding out information about the victims and circumstances. The State Emergency Service and all services are already at the scene,” he informed.
Medics, police officers and firefighters are working at the accident site.
Iryna Prianishnikova, a spokesperson for Kyiv region police, said that at least five people were injured. There is also a number of dead.
