Memorial Avenue business evacuated as a precaution while Enbridge crews addressed line break.
THUNDER BAY – A gas line break caused the evacuation of a Memorial Avenue business Wednesday morning, Thunder Bay Fire Rescue reports.
Firefighters responded to a line break around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at a business near the intersection of Memorial Avenue and 11th Avenue.
Enbridge Gas was already on scene and has since mitigated any danger from the break, said platoon chief John Russak.
The incident caused traffic to be blocked on 11th Avenue between Memorial and Eira Street while the business was evacuated as a precaution.
