THUNDER BAY – Traffic in the construction zone at Edward Street and Redwood Avenue will soon be further reduced to accommodate construction of the roundabout.
Starting on Monday, June 28, southbound traffic on Edward Street will be maintained to Redwood Avenue and then from there, diverted to the west along Redwood Avenue. Northbound traffic on Edward Street will be detoured around the construction zone.
Work on this phase of the project is expected to last for four to five weeks. The construction schedule is subject to change, as various factors such as weather can influence project timelines.
Businesses within the construction zone remain open and can be accessed by using Redwood Avenue or following posted detour routes.
Motorists are asked to reduce speed through the construction zone and to follow the posted traffic-control signage.
